Ground Penetrating Radar Systems
Innovating Ground Penetrating Radar Systems Since 1994
US Radar offers both single-frequency and multi-frequency range GPR systems. A multi-frequency system grants more perspectives, as our GPR software creates a separate dataset for each one. This allows the end user to cross-compare and analyze findings at varying depth penetrations; resulting in more accurate information.

Ground Penetrating Radar Products FAQ
What is Ground-Penetrating Radar?
Ground-penetrating radar is a technology that supports subsurface detection and mapping. Also known as GPR, this technology sends electromagnetic radar pulses into the ground. Those pulses interact with and bounce back from various substances in unique ways. The unit that sends the pulses also measures the feedback of those interactions and returns pulses to map data about what’s in the ground below.
Many GPR systems convert the data gathered from those radar waves into inputs that create a map or image of what’s in the ground below. Computing systems and trained individuals can take the data and images and draw conclusions about the makeup of the ground and soil below or whether any
What is the Best GPR System for Me?
Selecting the right ground penetrating radar (GPR) system for your specific needs depends mostly on how deep you need the signals to penetrate beneath the surface. The lower the antenna frequency, the deeper you can see. Conversely, higher frequency means greater resolution (i.e., scan detail).
US Radar offers both single-frequency and multi-frequency range GPR systems.A multi-frequency system grants more perspectives, as our GPR software creates a separate dataset for each one.This allows the end user to cross-compare and analyze findings at varying depth penetrations;
What Jobs Can GPR Help Accomplish?
Because there’s no need to dig and GPR works well in a variety of soil and ground conditions, it has a wide range of applications. Some jobs GPR can help with include:
Utility locating. Whether it’s a construction team prepping a site for a new build or a safety inspection, there’s no need to dig before you know what’s below your feet when you start with GPR. Ground-penetrating radar lets teams locate underground utilities, such as pipes and other utility in
Does US Radar Manufacture its own Products?
US Radar is wholly American-owned and manufactures all products in-house in our US facility.
